MTF Managing and founding partner, Atty. Euney Marie J. Mata-Perez, recently imparted her extensive knowledge in tax laws and jurisprudence in various webinars this August 2021, namely: “The Inaugural CREATE (Online) Summit” and the “Aboitiz Group: Tax Updates Lecture”.

The “Inaugural CREATE Summit: Coping With The Pandemic’s Economic Impact Through Better Fiscal Incentives And Lower Corporate Taxes” is a series of lectures by various speakers that addressed the CREATE implications and other issues, that was held last August 27, 2021. The webinar was organized by the PCM Group of Companies, an organization that hosts various educational conferences.

Atty. Mata-Perez lectured on the CREATE provisions on economic growth and recovery. The other speakers during The Inaugural CREATE Summit, which are also known for their expertise in the field of taxation are: Atty. Fabian K. Delos Santos, Atty Cheryl Edeline C. Ong, and Atty. Veronica A. Santos, Tax Partners and Principal at SyCip Gorres Velayo & Co, and Atty. Brianna Kay T. De Los Santos, Section Chief of the Law and Legislative Division at the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).

Moreover, Atty. Mata-Perez gave an insightful and informative talk as the guest speaker for the “Aboitiz Group: Tax Updates Lecture ” which was held online on August 31, 2021. The seminar on the tax updates was aimed at updating the finance and tax officers of the Aboitiz Group with the most recent tax laws and decisions in the country. Atty. Mata-Perez discussed the most recent tax decisions of the Court of Tax Appeals and Supreme Court, as well as some significant  issuances of the BIR.

In the said webinars, Atty. Mata-Perez shared not only the recent tax laws and jurisprudence, but also the knowledge she has gained from her decades-worth experience and knowledge as a certified public accountant and a seasoned lawyer with expertise in taxation law, among others.
