Samantha Lao Poblacion
Sam has extensive knowledge in general tax and corporate law, as well as in mining, environment and energy (especially solar energy) regulatory matters. She has been involved in transactions dealing with mining rights and foreshore leases, such as in drafting operating agreements vis-à-vis mining rights, in handling tax assessments and tax refunds, both at the administrative and Court of Tax Appeals level, in due diligence reviews, and in stock and asset acquisitions.
Sam demonstrates professionalism in all her dealings with clients, and is adept in applying the law to specific client situations. She received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of the Philippines, Diliman, Quezon City, where she was a member of the Editorial Board of the Philippine Law Journal. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Communication also from the University of the Philippines.
At present, Sam is a legal instructor at the Far Eastern University Institute of Law and a former legal instructor for the De La Salle – Far Eastern University MBA – JD Program.
