MTF 2025 Outreach Program

Social responsibility is one of the core values of Mata-Perez, Tamayo and Francisco (“MTF”) Counsel. MTF envisions staying socially responsible in its work by involving itself and supporting causes and advocacies that help others, especially the less fortunate. This commitment goes beyond mere philanthropy; it is embedded in the Firm’s culture and reflects its dedication to fostering positive change within communities.

On September 6, 2025, Saturday, the entire MTF Counsel team, in collaboration with Climb Against Cancer, headed by Ms. Nini Andrada Sacro, visited the community of Sitio Iligan, Angat Dam, Norzagaray, Bulacan. The community was home to members of the Dumagat-Agta tribe.

After a long ride to the Angat River, the group took a 15-minute banca ride and trekked for around one kilometer through rugged terrain with river crossing to reach the community.

MTF Counsel brought solar lamps, gardening tools, seedlings, rice, canned goods, sugar, coffee, “batyas”, toys and food for the community.

After the distribution of the goods, the group was blessed with a prayer made in the native “bulos” language by one of the tribe leaders.

It was a wonderful experience for everyone, in seeing the smiles of the children and hearing the gratitude of the elders. The genuine happiness of the children and the welcoming spirit of the community created a lasting impact that will resonate for years to come.

MTF Counsel has partnered with Climb Against Cancer in supporting marginalized communities and schools for several years now. Together with its lawyers and staff, it has carried out meaningful outreach programs with the organization in elementary schools in San Jose, Tarlac and Tanay, Rizal in 2018, 2019, and 2023, respectively.

MTF Counsel is committed to be socially responsible, and has been expanding its outreach initiatives, forging partnerships with local organizations, and supporting programs that create meaningful and lasting positive impact within the community.
