Atty. Euney Marie Mata Perez as Guest Speaker in PICPA’s 2nd Annual National Tax Convention

Our Managing Partner, Atty. Euney Marie Mata Perez, spoke at the 2nd National Annual Tax Convention of Philippine Institute of Certified Accountants (PICPA) held on October 12, 2026 at Isla Ballroom, Edsa Shangri-La Hotel with over hundreds of attendees. The theme for this convention is “Managing Tax Issues in a Dynamic Business Environment”. The convention was attended by tax and business experts from various companies and government agencies.

Atty. Perez gave valued insights into emerging global tax developments, employment taxation practices and the rights and responsibilities of taxpayers. She divided her presentation into two parts namely: Key global trends on Taxation of Employment and Taxpayer Charter. She enumerated the various global trends and gave insights on how they affect the current tax system. She explained the traditional tax framework and the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) New Model Treaty and how taxation has evolved throughout the years.

She also discussed the importance of the Taxpayer Charter in promoting transparency, accountability and the protection of taxpayers’ rights and responsibilities. She also cited which countries have adopted Taxpayer Charter. After her lecture, she was given a certificate of appreciation and a brass sculpture by artist Angelito Cacnio.
